ICU: Day 3 – 4

Lisa’s condition continues to improve as the hours pass. She can talk in a soft voice and stay awake for a few minutes at a time. She now has far fewer IVs and sensors attached. She has a sore head!

She will most likely move from the ICU to a more standard room tomorrow.

Tuesday, January 17, 2012, 11:45

As a precaution, they kept Lisa in the ICU. She is still very weak, but her speech is normal and she is feeling much better. She has a moderate headache, but is extremely sore where they operated. Today, she got out of bed a couple times and she sat up in a chair for a couple of hours. She also started to eat solid food today. These are all very good signs and they will probably move her to a regular room tomorrow.  Once she’s there they will start working on getting her back sea legs.
