ICU: Day 2

It is now Sunday morning around 9am and I just got back from visiting Lisa and she is getting a little more awake and responsive. (The girls and I are staying at a hotel adjacent to MGH.) While there this morning I talked with the neurosurgeon who performed the operation. She had an MRI last night and I sat with him as he looked over the images for the first time and he answered my barrage of questions. He says everything looks good and that these 2-3 days are the roughest and that she will start to feel better.

That’s it for now. I’ll pass along new developments as they occur and let you know when she can start taking visitors and calls.

Sunday, January 15, 2012, around 11:30PM:

Nothing much new to report except that Lisa is steadily improving. She is a little more awake and a little more talkative. She might be moved out of ICU tomorrow since she seems to be over the worst of the post operation issues.
